BBVA international bank 2015 10,000 new Mobiles deployment

Background

BBVA is one of the largest global banks in the world and the largest back in Mexico with 30,000 employees and 1,800 branches servicing over 19 million customers. Asignet has been working with BBVA for the past year implementing a number of different ITIL business process solutions for the Telecom (Fixed and Mobile) and IT infrastructure. One specific project made possible by Wayfast kicked-off January 5th 2015. The project entailed a complete change out of all BBVA mobile devices.

The challenge

How to create a business process to identify and inventory every mobile device. The previous process only looked a billing information and there was no work flows to connect the actual end user to the mobile device

The Solution

Utilizing our Wayfast platform and Scrum methodology allowed the Asignet (Wayfast) team to focus on delivering BBVA the highest business value in the shortest time.

Allowing BBVA to set the priorities. Giving theses business objectives / priorities the Asignet Wayfast team self-manage to determine the best way to deliver the highest priority features.

The Process

In two weeks we created a workflow driven survey application and in 5 business days had identified over 6000 mobile devices. The entire CMDB was completed in under 40 days.

Phase two was developed simultaneously; this was a second application that scheduled delivery of all new mobile devices including letters of acceptance and authorizations. This application interacted with the vendors billing and procurement portals incorporating them into the rollout process.

Phase 3 was the development of a spectate mobile application that was installed on each mobile end user device that captures Data usage, minutes, calls, SMS, geolocation and inventory information ( IMEI).

The Result

After 40 days BBVA have developed three new applications and three new work flows resulting in a seamless transitions of over 10,000 new mobile devices provisioned and assigned. Providing BBVA with 100% accurate mobile inventory and expense control. The process is now in a steady state with Wayfast applications managing the complete mobile lifecycle for BBVA.
